What “inclusive” means inside Just Keep Writing

Don’t want to get any more emails in the next few weeks about the Just Keep Writing membership? Click here and we’ll keep you off this round of emails. You’ll still get regular updates from me, just not about the membership.

Hey Reader,

Let’s talk about something that matters deeply to me—and to the Just Keep Writing community:

Inclusion.

Not in the “corporate checklist” kind of way. Not as a buzzword.

But as an intentional, ongoing commitment to making this space feel safer, more welcoming, and more supportive—especially for those who haven’t always had that in writing spaces.

Here’s what that looks like inside Just Keep Writing:

  • Respect for all identities, bodies, and backgrounds
  • Human rights and dignity are not up for debate
  • Conversations around lived experience, identity, justice, and trauma are welcome—especially when they come up through your writing
  • Community guidelines and moderation that protect against harm, not complexity
  • A space that’s anti-racist, LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent-friendly, and built on shared values of care, growth, and mutual respect

We’re not perfect.

We’re still learning how to be better—for example, around accessibility needs and neurodivergent inclusion.

But we listen, we adapt, and we try to lead with respect.

If you’ve been craving a writing space where you don’t have to shrink, self-edit, or “keep the peace” just to show up—you’re invited.

P.S. We don’t call ourselves “drama-free” to silence hard conversations. We say it because we actively protect against the harm, harassment, and algorithm-driven noise that make so many online spaces unbearable. You can bring your full self here—and focus on writing what matters to you.

Hey Reader, Let’s talk about what one of my clients described as that "icky feeling"—the one that creeps in when you’re about to send a newsletter, schedule a promo, or talk about your book online… and then your brain chimes in: “Is this really the time? Should I be selling anything right now? Doesn’t this feel gross?” I’ve been hearing that a lot lately. And I get it. The world feels like is a dumpster fire some days—and in the middle of all that, marketing your book might feel...

You’ll still get regular updates from me, just not about the membership. Hey Reader, Let’s be real for a minute. The world feels really heavy right now. The news, the noise, the endless scroll—it’s a lot. And when your brain is already full, finding the clarity and calm to sit down and write? Nearly impossible. That’s part of the reason I...
